What do Jaden Smith, Seaweed, and Sweatpants have in common?

Pangaia — a material science fashion brand making sustainability cool, not just through how wear their products such as sweatpants but how we shop them. You buy online from their store, they make products on-demand.

Their business model is efficient. Better on the environment.

Their products are comfortable — perfect WFH outfits— and made of unexpected yet sustainable materials such as seaweed, and flowers.

If I’m going to be honest, I have a love-hate relationship with fashion because, on the one hand, fashion enables us to communicate who we are without words. It gives us power to feel better about ourselves, even in times when we feel powerless.

However, on the other hand, it is completely wasteful in the way we consume today.

This is about to change though, and I’m hopeful about it.
